Ulangan 28:36

28:36 The Lord will force you and your king ¹  whom you will appoint over you to go away to a people whom you and your ancestors have not known, and you will serve other gods of wood and stone there.

Ayub 36:8

36:8 But if they are bound in chains, ² 

and held captive by the cords of affliction,

[28:36]  ¹ tc The LXX reads the plural “kings.”

[36:8]  ² tn Dhorme thinks that the verse is still talking about kings, who may be in captivity. But this diverts attention from Elihu’s emphasis on the righteous.
